DC residents are required to register their bicycle(s) with the District government. This will aid in recovering your bike in case of theft. You can register your bike at any police station here, but call ahead to make the station has the appropriate staff and supplies. Bring a receipt or other proof of ownership, if possible. If you do not have proof of ownership, you can fill out a form stating that you own the bike. Non-DC-residents can also register their bikes.
