<B>Traffic Volume Maps</B>
</FONT>
<FONT FACE="Arial" COLOR="Black" SIZE="2">
<P>The District Traffic Volume Map depicts the Annual Average Weekday Traffic (AAWDT) at various locations on the District's roadways. Count data is collected (both directions) at pre-selected locations on Highway Performance and Monitoring System links (HPMS) on a three-year cycle. Counters are also placed for 24 hours during weekdays on a sample of 100 local links annually. Twenty-four hour machine counts are adjusted to day of the week and finally adjusted to Average Annual weekday (AAWT) traffic.
<P>All roadway, traffic, and travel data being made available by the District Department of Transportation in these ward maps are developed to support internal uses, and transportation planning. Any and all data are provided "as is" with the understanding that no warranty of any kind, implied, or expressed or statutory, is given with respects to the contents of these maps. Any and all conclusions or products derived from the data are the sole responsibility of the user.
<P>All numbers are expressed in Average Annual Weekday Traffic (AAWT) Volumes, expressed in thousands, rounded to the nearest 100.</p>
<P>The information presented in these maps is considered public information and may be copied or distributed.
