Lane Shift For Outbound New York Avenue
Weather permitting, on Saturday, January 27th, a new traffic pattern will be implemented for outbound/eastbound New York Avenue. The three travel lanes will be shifted to the right side of the road from the entrance ramp for South Dakota Avenue, N.E., and continue across the Anacostia River Bridge to Maryland.
The lane shifts are required for the removal of the existing concrete median barrier so that reconstruction can proceed.
Motorists are asked to reduce speed and observe the construction warning signs and message boards.
