The District Department of Transportation announces the following weekend traffic alerts:
3rd Steet Tunnel Closed this Sunday am for Graffiti Removal
The 3rd Street Tunnel, which takes traffic from the Southeast Expressway to I-395, will be closed on Sunday morning from 8 am to about 11 am for graffiti removal. Variable message signs and other traffic control measures will be in effect to direct motorists around the work area.
Two Lanes of South Capitol Street Closed Friday-Sunday
Weather permitting, the inbound left lane and the outbound right land of South Capitol Street (the two lanes closest to the median divider) will be closed from 7 am Saturday morning to Sunday evening.
Roslyn Cut Postponed
The 200-foot fiber-optic street cut in Roslyn near the Key Bridge that was scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.
