District Obtains Additional $2.6 Million for Transportation
(Washington, DC) The District Department of Transportation is pleased to announce that the Federal Highway Administration has redistributed an additional $2,622,014 in obligation authority to the District for transportation projects.
"These federal funds will be put to good use in the District to improve transportation for residents, businesses and visitors in our city," said Dan Tangherlini, director of Transportation. Tangherlini added that the additional funds will help DDOT create additional bicycle lanes, complete the Klingle Road environmental studies, enforce truck and weight limits and replace antiquated street light circuits.
