Traffic Restricted on I-395/Center Leg Freeway for Next 12 Months
The District of Columbia Department of Transportation announces the following lane closures for I-395/Center Leg Freeway under E Street, NW:

For the next 12 months, two lanes will be closed in each direction during non-rush hour (9:30 am-3:30 pm Mon.-Fri.) leaving one lane open.
During December weekends, from 10 pm Friday through 5 am Monday, two northbound lanes will be closed, leaving one lane open. The Massachusetts Avenue exit will also be closed. (Southbound traffic will be unaffected.)
The closures are necessary to rebuild the E Street Bridge.
