District Deployment

The Street Maintenance Unit in DDOT is responsible for repairing the District's streets. The street repair program got a jump start in 1995 when Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton successfully championed legislation to release federal highway funds without first having the necessary local matching funds. Since then, more than $350 million in street and bridge repairs have been completed or are underway. To report streets in need of repair, call Mayor's Call Center at  727-1000.
