District Department of Transportation: Live Traffic Report
Live Traffic Report

Saratoga Avenue NE Construction Ends November 12th

 Description:

Saratoga Avenue, NE, will be closed to through traffic, from Rhode Island Avenue to Brentwood Road, beginning on Monday, November 2, 2009.

The closure is required to allow for the safe pouring and curing of a concrete base at the intersection of Saratoga and Brentwood.

All work will be conducted from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Saratoga Avenue will be closed to through traffic from the signalized light at Rhode Island Avenue to Brentwood Road.

Those attending the Israel Baptist Church for services may still proceed to the church parking lots. Residents in the single family homes north of the church will also be able to access their property via the alley way connecting Saratoga Avenue and Isle of Patmos Place.

Eastbound Rhode Island Avenue drivers looking to access Brentwood Road will be directed to proceed to the next intersection where Brentwood Road meets Rhode Island Avenue.

Northbound Brentwood Road traffic cannot make a left turn onto Saratoga Avenue. Motorists will be directed to proceed north to the intersection of Rhode Island Avenue. Left turns onto Rhode Island from Brentwood Road will be permitted only during the duration of the proposed work.

It is expected the closure will be lifted by Saturday, November 11. At that time the road will be reopened.
